    3. John, Thanks for the response. I am quite confused about this family. I am looking for the William Perkins who was father to Adam Perkins, born 1767 in Burke Co., No. Carolina. The William of 1715 married Sarah Lawrence about 1752. (Was he married before?). This William's parents were Richard and Mary Sherwill. So who was William of 1731? In trying to trace the family back to source, I have Thomas Perkins, born 1582 in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, Eng. But I'm not sure this is correct, as all the emigrants from the Hillmorton Perkins seem to have gone to Ipswich in Essex Co., Mass. instead of Baltimore Co., MD. Any light you can throw on this will be much appreciated.
