I have a problem I am hoping someone can help me solve. I am trying to trace the family of William Perkins, son of Richard and Mary Sherwill. Richard was born 1689 in MD. There are a number of entries on Ancestry for this William, only they don't agree on birth date or wife. 1. William Perkins,born 1731. Died in Wilkes Co., Georgia. Wife Mary (Polly) Black. 2. William Perkins, born 1715. Died abt 1805 in Livingston, KY. Wife Sarah Lawrence. William #2 shows a son named ADAM, born 1767. He is the one I need. I am perplexed about the difference. Both show the same parents. Does anyone have an answer? Virginia
