Hi: See some of you are veteran researchers in this maze of many Perkins'. There certainly is a hayload of us. Can't guess what it must be to research Smith. Plan to post what little I have, after all these years of digging, and to post a pre-civil war Perkins will, if it might help someone else. Meantime: Any of you Gurus searching or know any tidbits at all regarding PERKINS in GARRARD COUNTY, KENTUCKY ??? My 3rd ggrandfather JAMES PERKINS b. 1786 (VA?) (m. Nancy Jennings, 2/27/1810). James died 1858 Garrard Co. KY and is buried alongside wife and one son (William) in the "Perkins Cemetery" on land he had owned at that time. Am lost on going back any further than ancestor James Perkins and Nancy Jennings Perkins. Anyone have any words of wisdom for me? Karleene in Oregon karly@pioneer.net
