Thought I would pass along some information which I recently found a new set of books entitled "The Great Migration Begins". published in 1995 by the New England Histoic Genealogical Society. It discusses many of the important immigrants to New England in the early years. It is my impression that the information has been very carefullly checked. Two Perkins are discussed. There is an article on John Perkins b. 23 Dec. 1583 in Warwickshire, son of Henry and Elizabeth (Sawbridge) Perkins died in Ipswich 1654 . He married Judith Gater daughter of Micheal Gater. Chilrdren were John, Elizabeth, Mary, Anne, Thomas, Jacob and Lydia. There is a cryptic note "Walter Goodwin Davis discusses the possibility that Isaac Perkins of Ipswich was a close relative". There is also an article on William Perkins of London, first came to MA (Roxbury) in 1632 on the William & Francis. He was educated at Cambridge. Rebecca of Colorado Springs
