Hiram and Elizabeth Helmer Perkins' daughter Allashea was born 30 July, 1867 and baptized in the Church of England parish of Clarendon on November 1868. They were sponsors at the baptism of Henry Humphrey Perkins, born 16 June, 1865, in the same church. Henry's mother was recorded as Nancy Perkins, then living in Wisconsin, and his father as Humphrey Lang.
