    1. "Puzzlin' Perkins
    2. Judith Kimball
    3. To: Steve Perkins From: jkimball@star.net Judith Kimball Not much has been done on pre-1634 Kimballs, the Scotts (Richard m. Ursula) always appeared to be more interesting as there was a 'story' that the Scott line went back to Charlemagne. Not so. Richard's family were yeoman farmers, lived in Hitcham, Suffolk, a bit out of the way for a Bedfordshire connection. Richard moved to Rattlesden (next town) after marriage. Don't know about aunts (too early to be a sister). 4 gens. behind Richard are all Henry. Earliest is a Thomas (w. d. 5 Nov 1453). The name was not spelled Kimball in England, it is, rather, either Kemball or in older records, Kembold(e). Richard b. c1592, arrived Boston 1634. Don't know much about Perkins, unless of course one happened to marry a Kimball. Ipswich was full of them, but don't know where in England they came from. Suppose I could look that up? Judith
