To all of you Robert Biggin Perkins descendants. I have come across several gedcoms on the web lately...some from GenServ and some from Kindred Konnections that have a completely wrong date and place of death for Robert Biggin Perkins, Sr. These indicate a date about 30 years before he died, and say he died in VA. I believe this information originally came from a paid researcher who found a will in VA from another Robert Perkins. It truly disturbs me to see this kind of wrong information perpetuated over and over. With the advent of the internet, and the ease of access to information, things like this can multiply in a hurry. I can understand why that someone would accept information from a professional research company, but we all need to be aware that they make mistakes also. Robert Biggin Perkins, husband of Elizabeth Lollar, and son of Richard Perkins and Elizabeth McCutcheon (Cutcheon) died in April,1823 in Lincoln County North Carolina, and I have a copy of his will.
