I am seeking the ancestry of James PERKINS, my GGG Grandfather, born circa 1799 in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. He died 31MAY1855 and is burried in the Bean/Coffin Cemetery in Alton, NH. His wife was Nancy R. ?. The daughter of James, Maria Susan PERKINS, was married to my GG Grandfather, James Madison JONES, born 18JAN1836 in Alton, NH, and died 3MAY1863 in Chancellorsville, VA during the Civil War battle there. Maria was born on 22APR1830 in Thornton, NH, and died on 29SEP1915 in Alton, NH. She is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Alton. Maria had a child out of wedlock by Hosea GLIDDEN named Calvin S. GLIDDEN on 15JAN1853 in Alton, NH, Calvin living until 15MAY1935. By my GG Grandfather James Madison JONES, Maria had Simeon L. Charles Henry Washington, Mary L., James Madison Jr., and Frances C. JONES. After the death of James JONES, Maria married William WILLARD, and had Smith A. WILLARD. Maria next married Pearly C. PLACE, by whom she had no children, and lived her remaining years with William WILLARD.
