Sandy, I would love nothing more than to lay claim to your long line of Perkins unfortunately I only have one verry little lost Perkins boy (James Monroe Perkins) that is six years old in my gggrandfather's house in the 1870 East Baton Rouge, Louisiana census. I sent out a query when I first signed to this list, no one claimed him. I sent out a query last month on the speculated information on his father (James A. Perkins) and uncles (Wiley Perkins, John Perkins, and Matthew Perkins) but no one claimed them either. So I guess you can count us out of your 1600's Richard Perkins I .
