PERKINS emigrants from UK + Ireland I am maintaining a WWWeb page dedicated to emigrants from the UK or Ireland with the surname PERKINS. The URL is; http://www.uea.ac.uk/~e850/perkins/genealgy/emgrate/em_perk.htm The purpose of this page is to hopefully re-unite branches of PERKINS families. Dead-ends on family trees may be the result of emigration. For those of us whose ancestors remained in the UK, researching these dead-ends presents us with no option but impossibly long searches through usually un-indexed sources. For descendents of UK emigrants, the precise place of origin is often not known (particularly for pre-1837 emmgrants when there was no civil registration of births in the UK). And for all of us is a lack of a central list of known emigrants. Hence this web page. It is intended to list only actual emigrants, not their ancestors or descendants. In the case of a family emigrating, each person can be listed. This page is to be restricted to PERKINS emigrants proven to have been BORN in the UK or Ireland. This site is not for strays within UK + Ireland (although eventually I may expand it in that way), nor for posting queries on UK/Ireland lines that come to apparent dead-ends.
