    3. The first four generations are the product of efforts of many other researchers of long ago, and widely published, with references in many different sources. GEN 1. John & Judith (Gater) Perkins: Hillmorton England to Boston on the ship Lyon landed February 1631, Boston. Settled Ipswich. GEN 2. John & Elizabeth (Eveleth) Perkins: He was born Hillmorton, married Elizabeth in Ipswich MA. GEN 3. Samuel & Hannah (West) Perkins: He was b 1655 Ipswich, married 1677 in Ipswich MA. Children were Samuel, Ebenezer, Elizabeth, John. GEN 4. Ebenezer & Hannah (Safford) Perkins: Ebenezer b 3 Feb 1681 Ipswich MA. Moved to Voluntown CT to settle grant of land given to Samuel for service in the Narragansett War. Married Hannah in Preston CT 14 Aug 1710. Ebenezer some years later moved to Coventry RI. Children were Newman 8 Mar 1711; Samuel 18 May 1712; OLIVER SR; Charity 4 Jul 1714; Ellenher 26 Jul 1718; Valentine 26 Jul 1718 moved to Oblong, Dutchess Co NY before Rev. War and served in Ulster Co Militia 3rd Rmt; Lemuel 2 Apr 1720; (all the above born in Preston CT) Ebenezer b 1 Jul 1721 Voluntown CT settled Coventry RI; John; Francis. GEN 5. OLIVER SR & Hannah (Gates). He was b 29 Apr 1713, m Hannah 10 Jan 1733/34 Preston CT., died May 1782, will prepared 26 Jan 1782 "Little Hoosick" NY and proved Albany County NY 2 Jun 1782. Burial location unknown. Record of birth dates of children have not yet been located, but all presumed to be at Preston CT. Children (in order listed in will): OLIVER JR, Rufus b Preston CT m Susannah Dutton (This is the Rufus line of Rutland VT, and published genealogy thereof) Moses Silas Phineas Charity Hannah b abt 1740 m Benjamin Tanner 5 Jun 1762, d 1802 Susannah Elisabeth m Ichabod Prosser Prudence married (-)Newell Eunice b 25 Dec 1757 d 21 Jun 1833 Pownal VT, m Richard Brown about 1776 resided in the Pownal VT or Stephentown NY area. GEN 6. Oliver Jr, served in VanVeghten's Rgt in Rev War, Albany County NY, 1790 Census resident of Saratoga NY. Will proved 1805 Saratoga County NY. Some records list spouse as Ann Kennedy. Likely it's his second wife since date of marriage is Dec 1792. Oliver's children as recorded in his will are: Prudence Gamaliel Sally Betsy Charlotte JACOB GEN 7 Jacob and Mary (-) Perkins. Residence in Saratoga NY verified by Census. Will proved 21 Aug 1837, Saratoga Surrogate Court. Children according to the will are: HIRAM [SR] Alonzo George Juliann Mary Emaline b 1832 d 1 Feb 1891 Schuylerville NY Laura Hannah Jane Delia Andrew GEN 7 Hiram Sr and Elizabeth (King) Perkins b 16 Sep 1806 d 21 Jul 1859 m 25 Dec 1834. Children are James M, William W, Frederick N, Robert H, HIRAM A, Edward C, Charles R, Mary E, Martha J, Jerome A, Thomas, John W. GEN 8 Hiram Augustus and Anna "Annie" M (Timmons) Perkins, lifelong residents of Saratoga County NY. Hiram b 29 Jan 1845 d 19 Dec 1894. Civil war service in Union Army, Andersonville survivor. Children are Nettie, Lillie, Alice, Fred(die), Willie, George, Helen Martha, Margaret, HARRY LINCOLN, Charles W. GEN 9 Harry L & Maude E (Robinson) Perkins. He was b 28 Apr 1887 in Malta NY, d 8 Feb 1967 Greenwich, Washington Co NY. Children are HARRY C, Mary, Charles, Robert, Donald, Evelyn, Burton, George, Ralph, Jacqueline, Gerald R, Richard. Most of the children are still living. GEN 10 Harry C and wife Margaret (Garnsey) Perkins, she deceased 16 Mar 1997, had eight children, all living, including Harry G, my father, one of many, many 11th generation descendants of immigrant John & Judith Perkins. I'd love to find some new cousins. I've met quite a few in the several years I've been at this consuming pasttime, and exchanged valuable information. Happy rooting! ------------------------------
