    1. Re: Perkins - Charles;NC, 1700s
    2. I received your query via "rootsweb" regarding the Perkins family in VA in late 1700s. My Perkins ancestor, Robert Samuel Greene Perkins, according to the 1850 census of Yazoo Co., MS, was born in VA, and was 45 years old (b. 1805). He was killed and robbed at New Iberia, LA in 1862, while on a business trip. He was a lawyer, judge, and member of the MS Legislature, but I have been unsucessful in finding any record for him prior to his coming to Yazoo Co. With his multiple name, I am hoping that someone will find some clues for me to follow. He had a son named Charles. I have my records posted on a home page: http://www.geocities.com/BourbonStreet/4687 with an alphabetic search feature. RSG Perkins and his descendants can be found in the "Pepper" file.
