My second great grandmother Clementine Perkins b. 1814 S.C. married Jan 3, 1828, James Powell b. 1803 Georgia.(Some Early Marriage Records of Hous. Co. Ga. 1825-1845) She died 1860 in Cherokee Co, Texas. I have been at a standstill on her line. According to deed book "C" Hous. Co., Ga. Superior Ct. Deeds 1826-1829 in June 1828 William N. Perkins granted to Clementina Perkins $200.00; 1 young sorrel horse, saddle & bridle, 6 cows and calves, 3 head goats, 2 sows and pigs. for her proper use and benefit. Signed - William N. Perkins. (A William N. Perkins owned land in section 13, Houston Co., near James Powell who also owned land in the same section.) From "Ga. Land Lottery Papers" p 265, Houston Co. Lot 197-8 Dooly.
