Pat, Your post caught my eye. My gggrandmother was Melissa Ann Perkins, b. 1859, m. 1/19/1876 to Thomas Jefferson Cantrell, and d. 9/13/1921. I believe they lived in Green Co., Ky all their lives, so I wondered if there might be a connection to your Perkins.
