I am looking for information on Lafayette Perkins (1786-1874), a physician who studied at Harvard Medical School and practiced in Maine (first in the town of Weld and later in Farmington). His wife was Dorcas Abbott, daughter of Benjamin Abbott of Temple. Two of his sons, John W. Perkins and Benjamin A. Perkins were partners in a large wholesale drug business in Portland in the latter part of the century and died after 1910. The oldest son, Charles J. Perkins graduated from Bowdoin College and became a physician with a practice in Upperville, Virginia, where he died in 1843. The youngest son, Samuel E. Perkins died in Farmington in 1890.
