I am wondering if any of the following rings a bell with anyone.   I am Albert Wesley Perkins (Wes),my father was Albert Melville Perkins (1918-1997), my grandfather was WilliamEverett Perkins (Nov. 26, 1882- July 11, 1970), my great grandfather was James Perkins (Aug 7, 1841—possibly Aug. 29-May 9, 1913.  He homesteaded a ranch in Montana, near the town ofDeerLodge.  I have the following information on him: Married to Hannah Vickers Sept 13, 1876 Birthplace: Stilton, England Baptised: Dec 26, 1841 at Harrold, Bedsford, England Brother: Alfred Perkins Came to the USA in 1862  Father may have been John Perkins, born in Bedford Mother may have been Hannah Tairy (Fairy?), born in England This is all I know of them except that the town of Leeds keeps coming up.  I have no idea of how they got to America, how they traveled to Montana or of any other information regarding England and my ancestors in England.
