Dear list members, When I read the questions about the "Perkins" birthmark at the back of the neck, just above the hairline, I remembered that my little sister (seven years younger than I) had had just that kind of mark right above her blond hairline. It later faded out. I called her right away to confirm it and she told me that at least 2 of her three daughters had also had the same mark and one of her grandchildren. In addition, she had a mark much like it on the back of her leg behind the knee, just as another writer had indicated. All of these marks have faded as she and her family grew older. Very interesting potential relationships here. Our line of Perkins is Julius Malone Perkins (b 1909 Social Circle GA) Joseph Olien Perkins (b 1874 Rutledge, Walton County, GA) John Ingram Perkins (b 1848 Walton County GA) Elbert J. Perkins (b 1822) John Ingram Perkins (b 1798) Jesse Perkins (b 1768) and back to Nicholas Perkins of Virginia.
