[ MARRIED] Mr. John Perkins to Miss Sarah Cozzens of Georgia Monday, May 8, 1769. The Lewis Perkins mentioned above is often confused with the Lewis Perkins living in Floyd Co., Ky/. by 1816. The were both born around the same time, The difference being that the Lewis Perkins above died 1839. The Lewis Perkins that I am researching was still listed in the 1840 census of both Floyd and Morgan Co., Ky. I believe the Lewis Perkins mentioned in Amite Co., Mississippi is the son of Rees/ Reese Perkins. I have a copy of this Lewis Perkins Rev. war pension application papers( file # R-8114-SC), If someone working on this line would like to have them please let me know. Helen
