    3. Corrections, additions, documentation earnestly desired! (You really want to read this in a monospaced font, like Courier.) ----------------- Third Generation *ANCESTOR* 7. "Deacon" Thomas[2] Perkins (John 2) was born in Hillmorton Parish, Warwickshire, England probably April 1622 (Anderson, Great Migration, vol III, pg. 1432, from his baptism). Thomas died 7 May 1686 at 64 years of age. He married Phebe Gould in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts, circa 1640 (Anderson, Great Migration, vol III, pg. 1432, "Thomas.. m. by about 1644 Phebe Gould.. Phebe was the daughter of Zaccheus Gould and Phebe Deacon. Phebe died after 7 May 1686 at approximately 65 years of age. She survived her husband, but by how long is not known. He arrived in New England in 1631 with his father and the rest of the family, sailing on the Lyon. He removed to Ipswich with them in 1633. At Ipswich he owned Sagamore Hill, but exchanged this property with his brother John for a house in town. After a few years in Ipswich, he removed to Topsfield. He was chosen one of the Selectmen of Topsfield in 1675/6, 1676/7, and 1681/2. He was Deacon of the Topsfield Church before March 1676/7 and continued in that position for many years, during which he served both church and town in various other capacities as well. He was a farmer by occupation. Deacon Thomas Perkins and Phebe Gould had the following children: *ANCESTOR* + 10 i. John[3] Perkins was born 1641 and died 19 May 1668. 11 ii. Zaccheus died 1 December 1732 at 84 years of age. Court records dated 1680 show that at one time he had disgraced himself and brought sorrow upon his aged father, who paid a very large sum of money to extricate him from the mess he was in. *ANCESTOR* + 13 iv.
