Mary it is very sad. The Perkins family that lived in VA that I am related to were pretty much poor for quite awhile. My dad did well, but her moved up to Michigan to work and he raised a good family :) My husband and I own a business and my brothers are contractors. My dad is a good man, so was my grandpa! My mom passed away from cancer May 21st of this year and I decided that I was going to hunt down family, so here I am. Thank you so very much for helping me find them. Here in Michigan they use to have Virginia picnics, but I am told they don't do that anymore. I was too young then anyway to try and find family there. Oh well I will keep trying to find them!
