    1. Re: [PERKINS] John S. Perkins 1833-1909
    2. Lois Perkins
    3. Hi! This is a long shot but my husband's uncle (now deceased) was named William Hardick (spelling questionable) Perkins. Our brick wall is his ggrandfather, William H. (middle name unknown) . Your query is the first time we have found the name Hard(r)ick associated with Perkins. Since common names are so important in genealogy, we wonder if there is a connection somewhere. My husband and his uncle were both born in Chicago but there were some associations with Indiana, so here are their forefathers: William Hardick, b. 1907, Chicago James L. Perkins, b. 1867, Meadville, PA, d. 1948, Chicago, m. Jessie Anderson, Deep River, IN, circa 1890 Ancil B. Perkins , b. 1845, Parsonsfield, ME, d. 1906, El Paso, TX, m. Sarah Wood, 1866, William H. Perkins, b1808-09, d. 1864, Readfield, ME; m. Amy Sayward, 1842, Parsonsfield, ME. (We have traced the Sayward line to the Puritans in Colonial America) I don't know if you can connect to our line but if anybody out there can help us locate the birthplace and/or parents of William H. Perkins, we would be grateful . Thank you, Lois
