Convened on Saturday at Ebenezer the following Baptist Members, Viz, John Courtney, Mark Cole, Hannah Cole, Mary Curtis, from Coles Creek Church of this Territory. Batson Morgan, Elizabeth Morgan, from Black Creek Church, S. Carolina. Reece Perkins from Welch Neck Church of S. Carolina. James Mumford, Ezra Courtney, Elizabeth Courtney, from Ebenezer Church S. Carolina. Sarah Chance from Bark Camp Church, Georgia. The Said Members, having thus met, requested to be constituted a Church Which was accordingly done by the Rev. Richard Curtis and Thomas Mercer, with the aid of James Courtney from S. Carolina, Jonathan Curtis from Coles Creek Church, and Isaac Jackson from New Providence. July 5, 1806: Met in Conference. On motion made & seconded. Laban Bacot is appointed Church Clerk. On motion made & seconded an election was held, and Hardy Brian chosen Deacon. On motion made & seconded the following brethren were appointed to attend as visitants at a conference at Coles Creek Church on Friday before the first Sunday in August, viz, Ezra Courtney, Mark Cole, Batson Morgan, James Mumford & Rees Perkins. On motion made & seconded it is resolved that the Rev. Richard Curtis and Thomas Mercer do meet at Ebenezer on Friday before the fourth Sunday in July (Inst.) for the purpose of ordaining Ezra Courtney. Resolved that the Minutes of each conference be read at the close thereof. November 1, 1806: Met in conference. Upon information made to the Church, Batson Morgan was dealt with for Shooting out the eyes of a bull which belonged to Lewis Perkins; for which he is laid under censure. On motion made & seconded Ezra Courtney was called to take the pastoral care of the Church, who defers an answer. January 3, 1807: Met in conference. By the unanimous voice of the Church, Batson Morgan is pardoned for the trespass against Lewis Perkins upon his, the said Morgan's, declaring he did not intentionally damage the bull for which he was laid under suspence. Upon complaint made by Batson Morgan, Jas. Mumford was dealt with for calling the said Morgan a lyar and also saying he could prove him to be a liar. For which contention they the said Batson & James are both laid under censure. January 5, 1811: Met in conference, the following Brethren, Viz, Ezra Courtney, Hardy Brian, Charles Barfield, James Mitchel, Benjamin Brown, William Brian, Peter Humble, David Dixson, James Mumford, Sister Elizabeth Courtney. Resolved that Brother Rees Perkins shall be cited to attend our Church Meeting in March, to answer to certain grievances lodged in the Church against him. Complaint being made by Brother Henry Humble of negligence in Brother Charles Barfield in not paying him a certain sum of money. We therefore enjoin it on him to use his greatest exertions to pay said debt. April 6, 1811: Met in conference. The case of Brother Perkins entered Jan. 5th considered over at the present, by a majority the Said Perkins is continued under Suspense until a further hearing. By request of the Church Brother Ezra Courtney is to write him another letter. May 2, 1812: Met in conference. The case of Rees Perkins of Jan. 5th 1811, considered over. Whereupon we hold him no longer in fellowship, Through his non-attendance to our calls and for fist-fighting. We consider him Excommunicated from our Society. September 4, 1813: Met in conference. Rec'd by Experience George Caldwell. Brother Wm Neathirlin by unanimous voice of the Church, chosen Treasurer. Rec'd by Experience Ann Curtis. By application to the Church Brother Rees Perkins is granted a Letter of dismission. December 31, 1836: The Babtist Church of Christ at Ebenezer Met in Conference. A door was opened for the reception of members. Rec'd by Experience Enoch Courtney. Rec'd by Experience Sarah Tolbert. The case between brethren Courtney & Roberts was taken up and the report of the committee being read, the Church petitioned for the attendance of Brethren C. Felder, S. Coker & Z. Reeves at Ebenezer on thursday before the fourth Sabbath in February next, to form a Presbytery to Settle the difficulty existing between the said E. Courtney & H. D. F. Roberts. Also for the attendance of the committee appointed at Hepzibah in said case. brother H. D. F. Roberts is cited by the Church to attend on the thursday above named for trial. Brethren Lewis Perkins & Willey Jackson were chosen Deacons by the Church. March 4, 1837: The Babtist Church of Christ at Ebenezer Met in Conference. A door was opened for the reception of Members. none offered. The Church petitioned for brothers H. D. F. Roberts & Charles Felder to assist in the ordination of two Deacons, to wit, brethren Lewis Perkins and Willey Jackson. The following Members applyed for letters of Dismission, viz, Thomas Causey and Martha his wife, Elizabeth Cox, Milley Smith & Susan Causey. Which was granted. April 6, 1839: The Baptist Church of Christ at Ebenezer Sit in conference. A door was opened for the reception of Members. Refference called for. The case of the following Brethren John & Lavina was postponed until tomorrow. Brother Willy Jackson was appointed Trustee to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of Br. Lewis Perkins, Sen. October 18, 1845: A door was opened for the reception of members. Lewis Perkins & John Anderson was received by experience and baptised. November 15, 1845: Set in Conference. A door was opened for the reception of members. The following Brethren were rec'd by Letter from Hepsibah Church, Viz: John Brown, Sen., Elizabeth Brown, Jennet A. Perkins, George W. Andrews, Martha E. Andrews, Mary Ann Rents, Thos. J. Andrews, Mary Ann Andrews, Dalcho Perkins. Sister Sarah Ann Perkins died Oct. 25th, 1846. October 16, 1848: The Baptist Church of Christ at Ebenezer met and the door was opened for the reception of members. Sarah E. Perkins was received by experience. December 15, 1850: The door of the Church was opened for the reception of members and Michael Forrest was received by experience. William and Lettia, servants of Dr. Jas.
