I do not have much info on my Perkins and hope someone out there can help. My JOHN A PERKINS was born 1837, ENG. or WALES (?) Came to the US with 3 brothers, possibly landed in NEW YORK. All 4 brothers fought in the civil war, 2 for the north and JOHN A and the other brother for the south. JOHN A PERKINS married JOSEPHINE BUCHANAN b. 1837, her death certificate gives place of birth as AL. They had 5 children: ELIJAH THOMAS, MOLLY, CORA, LIZZIE, and ANNA. After the war they migrated to PERRY CO., MS and then to SNYDER, TX. If anyone has anything on this famiy I would greatly appreciate it. Many Thanks, Gwen Perkins
