Its been awhile since I posted who I seek.Hopefully there are some new members who might see something familiar in the following names...... Seeking the parents of: John C. Perkins b.1796 (VT) who married "some place" in New York State, probably about 1822 or 1823 to Hannah Russell b.(NY), dau. of Absalom Russell. 1st child was born in New York in 1824/25 (Rowena Perkins) 2nd child was born in Susquehanna,PA in 1827 (William H. Perkins) 3rd child was born in Erie,PA 1830 (Charles R. Perkins) 4th child was born in PA 1834 (Annie P. Perkins) 5th child was born either in MI or OH 1836 (Mary Perkins) By 1840 this family is in Napoleon, Jackson Co., MI and he is listed as ....... "J.C. Perkins" on the Fed. Census, His family consisted of his wife and all children listed above, plus a "Female" between the age of 55-60 or maybe 60-65. By 1850 John C. Perkins was dead (d.1842) and Hannah (Russell) Perkins was remarried to John Crego ,and all the "Perkins" children were farmed out to different households in the Jackson Co., MI area. With the oldest child (Rowena) being married to Christopher Purchase just prior to her fathers death and her siblings, William & Mary Perkins are living with her and her husband. Charles R. Perkins lived with the family of John Locke Butterfield , and Annie P. Perkins has not been found on the census but her marriage certificate of 1851 stated she lived in Columbia,Jackson Co., MI.
