    3. Frank "Cy" Perkins, 85 of Zephyrhills, FL, USA, died on Sunday, August 13, 2000. He was born in Vernon, CT, USA, on November 21, 1914 and resided in Manchester, CT, USA until 1988 when he moves to Florida. He was the son of the late Fred and Etta Perkins. Frank worked for Colt Firearms in Hartford during World War II, ans the later for Spencer Turbine Co, of West Hartford as a machinist for 36 years. He is best remembered for his role as a pioneer of tenpin bowling in Machester area. He was a founder of the Inter-Church League, one of the original leagues formed at Parkade Lanes. Over the courrse of the league's 20 years, he served as a secretary-treasurer. Frank was an avid fisherman and spent many weekends heading to New Hampshire, (USA), in pursuit of trout. He is survived by his second wife, Margaret Perkins of Quincy, MA, USA; his sons Charles Perkins Sr. of Wilmington, NC, [USA], and William Perkins of of Warwick, RI , [USA]; his daughter, Jane Hedlund of Meriden, CT; five (5) grandchildren; and two (2) great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine Cordner Perkins of Manchester; two (2) brothers, Russell and Edward Perkins; and a sister, Mercyll Fairclough. Burial will be in East Cemetery Manchester, CT at the convenenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
