I'm trying to work with the groundskeeper/church/private keeper to get lists and plot numbers if they have them already. I am a descendant of Samuel Perkins b. 1783 in Anson Co, NC, d. 1853 in Hardin Co. TN. Kellie: My Perkins ancestors came from Wilkes Co., N.C. to Green, Adair and Whayne Counties, Ky. in 1800 Thomas Perkins and Lucinda (Riley) Perkins arrived with Peter Perkins, Thomas, Simeon, William, Richard, Edward and Rebecca. Peter and Edward left to go back to N.C. in 1812 but the rest stayed. Peter had 16 children among whom was a Jefferson Perkins.They settled in Jellico, Campbell Co., Tn. just below Williamsburg, Whitley Co., Ky. I'm taking all the pictures in every Cemetery I go to - regardless of whether I'm related or not - you never know what you may find out later..., but will be creating a website just for the Perkins Headstones. There are two Hardin Cemeteries. Old Hardin & Hardin - but some people refer to them both as Old Hardin. The one my parents are buried in is in Liberty County off of 146.
