    3. I'm a female too...so I rely on good old fashioned records, etc. My Frederick Perkins was born 19 Feb 1825 in Winchester, Litchfield Co, Ct...his wife was Julia Miriam Spencer. They are buried in Winsted. Their children: Lucy Perkins (my connection...she made gorgerous quilts!..b 1851), George E. Perkins, b 1845: in US census, printer, silk company, Frederick M. Perkins, b 1859: I only found a Frederick in the State hospital..don't know if it is him, and Charles Frederick Perkins, b 1849. Frederick b. 1825's dad was Christopher Perkins, born about 1794 in Goshen, Litchfield Co, Ct. That's all have..... except I do have pictures of Grandma Ford who was Lucy Perkins. She married Algernon Sydney HArrison Ford (of the MIlford Fords who "went west" to Litchfield...and she left quilts for my mom and all her sisters..but she died before she could finish them. Great Grandma Perkins..(Julia Spencer Perkins ) .lived, my mom, used to say, in "The icebox of Ct.".....up in the Goshen area I have pictures of all the Fords and some Perkins...and the Stockings who they married into...Susan Ford, daughter of Algernon S. Ford and Lucy Perkins m. HArry Stocking...of the Litchfield area and Williamstown, Ma... Would love to find Perkins alive that connect with the Perkins boys....I have a feeling they all died off...also would love to goback further than Christopher. I found an earlier Christopher in the Albany, NY area. Anyone know about those Perkins? Deb Deb --------------------------------- Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. 2. Dear Jackie, John PERKINS and Rebecca FERGUSON were parents of Nathaniel PERKINS b 1825 in Watertown, NY. married Martha DORCHESTER 1848 in Brownville, NY. John and Rebecca were also parents of George Washington PERKINS b 1820 who I think was born in Rutland, NY. George married Rhoda ACKERMAN. Both sons were in the Civil War and served in the NY10th Heavy Artillery. They both came to Michigan with their families. I'm not sure where John PERKINS or Rebecca FERGUSON came from. Nor do I know the parent's names of either of them. What info do you have on John PERKINS and Rebecca FERGUSON Perkins? I would be so grateful to make a connection. Kindly, Jan Johnson Bay City, MI

    1. Re: [PERKINS] Samuel Adams Line
    2. It has long been believed that Ann died in England. She was not on the passenger list with the rest of the family, and there seems to be no record of her in N.E. One reference I have seen "History of Ipswich, Essex, and Hamilton, MA," by Joseph B. Felt, lists her as a daughter of John, but he also lists an Absalom as a son. And John did not have an Absalom. Felt lists her as Anna Bradley. But it is widely thought that this Anna does not belong to John Perkins. In your second list, Abraham who married Mary Wyeth, was not the son of John either. He was a cousin. John did not have a son Abraham. There is an Abraham listed in his will "son of my son John." Many people have confused this. I hope this helps. 1. Re: [PERKINS] Perkins Roll Call (UK)
    2. Dear Chris: There is also a William Perkin, b.1738. St. Ives, Cornwall whose father is John Perkin. I don't know if you're aware of him. I was interested because I have a DNA match with a William Perkins, b.1738, New Haven, Conn...(a different surname than mine) and no one knows his parentage. Since my Norman ancestors are from Cornwall I thought perhaps there had been an adoption because of the DNA match so I was investigating Cornwall, and came up with this William. Peace! Kathryn E. If so by DNA evidence I am related to Joshua of NC and George of NC but my John Perkins married first in Linn IA to Catherine Forysthe and 2nd to my direct line Tirzah Ide. They were married in Monroe county, WI in 1855. That is all I really know except for their descendants and that John's father was born in MD and mother PA Jackie
