    3. I am searching for any information on Williard Perkins d. 1919, probably in the Adrian area. He was a "country doctor", with no formal training. His wife was Sarah Ann Baker d. 1892, their son Edd b. 1864 d. 1886, his wife Jennie Wallace, b. 1865 d. 1909, their children Williard WAllace b. 1884, d. 1918, Edd L. and Blanch (m. (We think he might have been born in Canada). Sister: Mary Perkins m. Daniel Spencer, Jr. (b. 1796) d. Aug. 1845. Info. says she was born in "France" - could this be Quebec? Brother of Luke and Mary: Benjamin. No other info. on him. Records show that: Information from E. Page and Co. of Chicago Portraits and Biographical Records of Genese, Lapeer and Tuscola Counties of Michigan. Published 1892 Chapman Brothers, Chicago... Many changes were made in Lapeer County. Mass migrations from the old countries started in 1865 and were heavy until around 1914. The 1880's brought many Germans and Scandinavians. Early in the 20th Century migration of Poles and East Europeans became a flood with many Poles coming to Detroit and later to Lapeer County. During the month of April 1887 over 6,000 emigrants went west on the Grand Trunk through Lapeer. On August 1881 a fire started in the North part of Lapeer County which burned a large part of the "thumb". In three days Huron, Tuscola, Sanelac, and Lapeer Counties were literally shriveled up by flames, 125 lost their lives and thousands lost all of their possessions. (pg. 227). Original owners od Dryden in 1834... Sec. 1 - Luke Perkins, December 18, 1835, previous address Durham County, NC. (COULD THIS BE DURHAM, CANADA?) Abner Fisher, October 22, 1835 in Section 2.
