My g3gparents were William M. PERKINS and Presia GEORGE. Part of their family group follows. They raised their family in Jefferson County, Alabama. I am trying to document their descendants, PERKINS and allied lines. Any assistance would be welcome and, of course, you are welcome to any of my own research on this line. I would also like to document William's parents. I have a theory, but absolutely no proof. William M. Perkins, was born in 1791 in South Carolina, and on 9 Apr 1818 in Caldwell County, Ky., married Presia George, daughter of John George, Jr. and ???? (George), who was born in 1801 in Kentucky. William M. died on 29 Aug 1871 in Jefferson County, Al.. Presia died in Nov 1872. Notes for William M. Perkins: At the time of his death, a well established man. Listed in 1860 as owning 13 slaves, many of which apparently remained with him and Presia judging from the 1870 U.S. Census for Jefferson County, Alabama. He was killed when thrown from his mule. Children: Nancy Perkins was born in 1820. Elizabeth C. 'Eliza' Perkins was born on 8 Jan 1823. John B. Perkins was born on 4 Jul 1824. Perline T. Perkins was born in 1826. William W. Perkins was born on 25 Nov 1829. Pernicia Perkins was born in 1831. Pretia Perkins was born in 1833 Eleanor Susan 'Ellen' Perkins was born on 15 Aug 1833. I am looking for more children for the couple Zachariah PERKINS & Lucinda WILSON. He was born in Ashe CO NC 23 Jul 1822, and married in VanBuren CO MO in 1846, where Lucinda was born in 1828. They had 6 children on 1860 census, William Andrew b 1847, Lee S. born 1850, Margaret E born 1854, Jesse G born 1855, Benjamin S born 1857 and James W born 1859, but are supposed to have had 10 children.
