Hi all, I am looking for additional information on Edward Perkins. I have that he was born ca. 1785, but I don't know where. Could have been Buckingham Co., VA. He is the son of John Watkins Perkins and Elizabeth Bondurant. I also know that he was still alive in Oct-1823 and resided in Shelby Co., KY at the time. I would like to find out his date and place of death. He married Lucy Bondurant 10-Aug-1815 in Shelby Co., KY. I am only aware of one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Perkins who married Masterson Bennett on 23-Jun-1834 in Shelby Co., KY. I would like to know the names and birth dates and places of any other children of Edward and Lucy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mike in Honolulu
Has anyone ever seen the name, "Lenchford Perkins"? He was born about 1791 in SC. The 1860 census lists him in Kemper County, MS. The census states that he was married to Sally (also born in SC) and that he was a minister. Any information will be appreciated. Martha..........Motthu@aol.com
Merry Christmas to all Perkins families. My most WANTED Perkins is George Perkins born about 1762 and married Abigail Gilman Tilton also born about 1762, they had Abigail (Nabby) born in 1785 who married Jeremiah Gilman Sanborn in Sanbornton, New Hampshire and they had seven children. The NEHGR has recently published an everyname index of the Register covering most issues and has an everyname searchable CD set covering every issue from its inception in the 1840's through 1994. I would strongly sugest purchasing a copy of this 9 CD set for any serious researcher who can afford it. At $295 non-members, $265.50 Members its a little steep but well worth it considering what you get. Paul Redden redden@inna.net Inquire about publishing and distribution of Genealogical and historical books and information on CD's. If you have a title you would like published (or republished if out of copyright) get in touch. I am forming a part time business with the goal of providing low cost resource material on custom made CD-R disks (goal of $2 per title for multiple titles on a CD). Get royalties from the first sale with no publishing costs or advertising costs and reach a larger audience than possible with paper. Darrell, Yes, I have heard of this Perkins! And as you said, birthdate, birthplace, death date and death place are all unknown. I have him married to an unknown female with several suspected children, names unkown. As a matter of fact, I have the same data for several people on various lines. Did I miss something on John and Mary Anthony Perkins? I am not real knowledgeable about them yet but from reading "Descendants of Nicholas Perkins of VA" by Hall, Mary and John supposedly had the following children: Nancy, Michael, John, Mary, Anthony, William, Samuel, Jesse, Susannah, Sally, Elizabeth. Where does it say they only had Samuel? The Will lists these children. This book also list Samuel's second wife as Susannah Pass. They married 20 June 1798 in Goochland Co, VA. Susannah was b. ab 1772 in VA. An affidavit made by his widow Susannah in 1853 states that Samuel Perkins died 27 Sept 1839, at the age of "about 88 years." She also stated that they were married in Goochland Co, VA, although the license was issued in Louisa County. Mary On Mon, 15 Dec 1997, F.J.
