I had thought William F. came from t he Perkins of Kershaw, and he still may have. You listed that he was from NC. Did the newspaper say where in NC. He could have moved from Camden to NC. He was living in Greensboro, NC. in the early 1930s,. I remember seeing him when I was a small child. I had run across the name W.F. Perkins and Sallie Moore and her parents but could not tie them to my line. I'll start looking in the NC. census records , at least those I can locate. Hi all I am gathering data on the different Rgts and their commanders and officers and the troops that they commanded by Battle and engagement for the French and Indian War. I am doing so because my mothers paternal ancestor was one of the if not the most respected American born colonial officer and he commanded in all of the major Northern battles. In seeking written data on him I had found lists of officers and soldiers from many states and where they participated. To this end I will somehow begin to collate the information as I find it. One day putting it onto the Web. For now, I am asking that if you had an ancestor, not necessarily a PERKINS who you know was part of that military struggle (1755-1758) I am interested in what you have on them. Many of you have Southern PERKINS lines and I am more interested in the Northern campaigns but am collecting data on this half of the Am Colonies too. Does anyone have a Missouri Perkins, born in Maryland in 1845. It is actually her sister Mary Jane I seek but finding Missouri Perkins might help me with the brick wall Mary Jane so skillfully built around her. Other facts I have: In 1850 New Market Dist. of Frederick County, MD these folks are listed in the same household: Charity Busey, born 1787 Hezekiah Bailey b. 1799 Nicholas A. Perkins b. 1840 Ann V. Perkins b. 1842 Missouri Perkins b. 1845 Mary Jane Perkins b. 1838, the only one in family listed as having been born in Virginia. All the rest were born in MD.
