If your person died but isn't on the SSDI, but you do have a SS# is it worth requesting their application from SSA? She was born in 1867 died 1960. Filed sometime in the 1930's for a number but wasn't on the SSDI index. Thanks for the input. Lindsey
The SSDI list only carries the names of people who received payments from SS, i.e. retirement, disability, etc. See SSDI at familysearch = = = = = = = = = = = = Pat C., BHCD Quakertown, PA US BLUROC1@worldnet.att.net = = = = = = = = = = = = = Incoming/outgoing mail scanned by Norton 2004 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = ----- Original Message ----- From: LAFinken@aol.com To: PENNSYLVANIA-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, September 25, 2004 7:01 AM Subject: Social Security question If your person died but isn't on the SSDI, but you do have a SS# is it worth requesting their application from SSA?
