hi, and thanks for responding. my parents were divorced when i was very little, so i don't have any birth certificates from my dad. my mom is trying to reach someone who might know where dad was born. i did want to point out that you might be spelling mcelhatten wrong in the county database. try it with "en" instead of "an". my mom said that my grandmother's maiden name might not have been leah chapman, but rather leah orson. that adds another kink to things. mom also said she thought that john wolfe, my grandfather, might have been married to a woman named "hoover". am waiting for her to get back to me on dad's birthplace and grandma's dad's name. roxanne Elizhlists@aol.com wrote: Where was your father born?
