Hi Alysia This is wonderful..Yes Albert's father's name was Joseph. Albert's mother was called Alice (nee Wellings), and I believe that she died somewhere in between the 1910/20 censuses. Joseph Turley was born at a place called Woodsetton, Sedgley, Staffordshire, England, and Alice was born in Tipton, Staffordshire. Joseph was born about 1874, and emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1907. I think Albert was born there, but his sister, May could have been born in England. I'm not sure. Leonard is Joseph's brother, and I think his wife was called May. Joseph and Leonard's father was Thomas Turley and his mother was Martha Jane Oakley. These were my great grandparents. They lived in Sedgley of course. I am really pleased to be making some progress as one of my uncle's is still alive, so would be Albert's cousin. I am hoping to find out also if there were any children from that marriage.
