Hi List, Im looking for anyone who may have family connections to my third G-GM Susannah (Susan) HENRY FLOTT. She is my brick wall. We know that Susannah was born August 17, 1812 and died September 24, 1899 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Per her obituary (below), she was a native of Franklin County. After she married in about 1833 (Franklin County), the FLOTT family lived in Green Village, Franklin County, Pennsylvania where her husband Daniel was a tailor. In 1860, the family is living in Lurgan Township, Franklin County. By 1870, the family had moved to Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. I have tracked the family from 1840 in all census records and on several tax lists, but have nothing on Susannah before her marriage to Daniel. Her obituary: (Note the surname is spelled FLOT): Morning Times, Altoona, Pennsylvania., Monday, September 25, 1899 Mrs. Susannah Flot. At 4.30 0'clock yesterday morning Mrs. Susannah Flot died at the home of her son-in-law, John McKnight, 227 Seventh Avenue. Death was caused by ailments incident to old age. The deceased was aged 87 years, 1 month and 7 days, and was a native of Franklin County. She was the widow of Daniel Flot. These children survive: David, Henry and Emanuel, of Shade Gap, Huntingdon County; C.M.(Charles), and Mrs. David (Sarah) Snyder, of Kansas, and Mrs. John (Mary) McKnight, of this city. Funeral services will be held in the home tomorrow afternoon at 3:00. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
