    3. Hi, Sandy: I found the following info on Heritage Quest: In the 1800 census, I found 1 Sloop household in PA (there's one other in North Carolina): Charles Sloop, located in Smiths, Washington Co., PA. In the 1810 census, I found 2 Sloop households in PA (plus 3 in NC & 1 in KY): Charles Sloop, in Smiths, Washington Co., PA & Philip Sloop, in Plumstead Twp., Bucks Co., PA In the 1820 census...1 Sloop household in PA (4 in NC; 2 in KY): Charles Sloop, located in Smiths, Washington Co., PA. Unfortunately, the 1790-1840 census listings provide only the name of the head of household and ages of those in the household... The Philip Sloop household listing shows 4 boys under 10 yo, 1 male 26-44 yo, & 1 female 26-44 yo. I found a Hiram Sloop, age 54, in the 1860 Hamilton Co., Ohio census. Could this be your Hiram? 1860 - 2-WD Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH - 6/6/1860 Hiram Sloop - 54 - m - barkeeper - Scotland Anna - 53 - f - Maryland Hiram - 17 - m - Cinti Ohio Emma - 12 - f - New York Hope there's something helpful here...
