Searching for info on the Janney Family of Bucks County Pennsylvania IN PARTICULAR A MARRIAGE FOR ISAAC JANNEY. This would be around the year of 1771. Isaac was a member of the FALLS MEETING. Isaac married a non Quaker, therefore, he must have been removed from the Quaker faith. After their marriage, they lived in Franklin County Virginia. Were there any towns or cities close to the Falls Mtg. where there may have been other Churchs or a Court where a marriage could have taken place. ANY INFO REGARDIING info for Isaac Janney and Hannah would be greatly appreciated. Ginnypin@aol.com
Just checked my copy of Watring & Wright, Bucks County, Pennsylvania Church Records of the 17th & 18th Centuries, Volume 2 Quaker Records: Falls and Middletown Monthly Meetings and on page 105 is the entry: 4/1/1772 - Falls reports that Isaac Janney requests certificate to Fairfax Monthly Meeting in Virginia. (Falls Monthly Meeting: Men's Minutes). There is an entry for a Hannah Janney, but it is probably not the Hannah you are seeking. (page 164). Hannah Janney disowned 1/6/1763 for neglecting meetings, deviations in speech and in the manner of education of her children.
