Hi, Doris: You're quite welcome. There is another James Halfpenny in the 1870 census: Series: M593 Roll: 963 Page: 300 1870 - Bay Ridge P.O., New Utrecht, Kings Co., NY - 7/27/1870 Halfpenny, James - 46 - m - w - laborer - NY He was shown as living alone. Please remember that I'm using Heritage Quest which indexes by head-of-household and by different-surname-within-household. He might not fall into one of those categories. Maybe someone with other census access can find the James you're looking for. What was the relationship between Felisitus & James?
