    3. Hi Kevin I haven't had any trouble getting the pages to load, and haven't had anyone else report a problem so let's go through the steps and make sure we're talking about the same thing. First you start at http://olivetreegenealogy.com/ancestry/free.shtml Reading down the page, you see two columns - the left is for Free Database #1 (NY Passenger Lists). The right hand column is Free Database #2 (PA Passenger Lists) Look for the text "Search for ancestors in Philadelphia Passenger & Immigration Lists 1800-1850 " and click there OR continue scrolling down to the Search Engine for those lists. It's a bit further down the page. Can you see/use that link and search engine? If not, then look for the text that says "If the link above does not display for you, or you can't click through on it, please use Philadelphia Passenger & Immigration Lists 1800- 1850 " You might also want to read the little note that explains why a few visitors are unable to see the links - and what you can do about it. If I click through on the first link Search for ancestors in Philadelphia Passenger & Immigration Lists 1800-1850 " I am taken directly to Ancestry's page for these lists and a huge blue search box appears. Is that the page that doesn't load for you?? If I use the Search Engine back on http://olivetreegenealogy.com/ancestry/free.shtml I get an Ancestry page which has already searched the database and returns a list of what has been found. In my test case here I searched for SIMPSON and got a huge list, part of which I will put below Name Arrival Date Age Gender Port of Departure Place of Origin Ship Name Save This ??? Simpson Dec 08, 1849 20 Unknown Liverpool, England Great Britain Ship Jno. P. Whitney Amelia Simpson Aug 17, 1820 4 Female Liverpool Great Britain Jane Andrew Simpson Jul 06, 1847 5 Male Ireland Bark Hebron Andrew Simpson Jun 06, 1831 22 Male Londonderry Co. Tyrone Brig Cupid Andrew Simpson Sep 29, 1849 28 Male Londonderry, Ireland Ireland Ship Vermont I can now click on any of those names (they are blue and linked to the full details plus the manifest). That will give me full details and the actual manifest to view. Suppose I don't like the list of 'hits' (names found and listed). I can scroll down PAST the list of names and there is that big blue Ancestry search box where I can change my search terms. What part of this did you have trouble with? I am not sure why the pages won't load for you, so please let me know exactly where it went wrong Lorine On 16 Oct 2004 at 20:34, Kevin Sholder wrote: > Lorine, > > Thanks for the great opportunity.
