I have Buchers from Langnau, Switzerland east of Berne. Friedrich Bucher was born to Bernard and Anna Muller Bucher in 1738. They had Christian Bucher born July 3, 1778 who married Christina Brechbuhl June 19 1807. Their children were Elizabeth 1808, Christian 1813, Peter 1816, Johannes 1818, and Friedrich 1821. They arrived in America around 1824 and settled near Allen county, Ohio. Other Buchers came to Lancaster County, PA as early as 1756. They emigrated from Neukirch, canton Schaffhausen, Switzwerland. These Buchers were belived to have settled in Wayne County, Ohio. Friedrich Bucher married Anna Geiger in 1846. They had 9 children, one of which (Christian ) is my great great grandfather. Christian spent his later years with my great grandmother Mary Bucher Lauber in Fulton County, Ohio. If anything sounds like it might be something you are looking for let me know.
