Carlette, My original ancestor was William Buckingham who arrived at Chester, PA in 1682. The surname was generally written as "Beckingham" as it was for his son, John. After John it always appeared as "Buckingham". The ship he arrived on did sail from London, but I have never been able to find any info on him in England. Perhaps this is my big break?!
