Archives, 1st series, Maria Catharina Schmedder died 11/11/1780 and is buried at Lowhill Church, Lehigh Co, Pa == he did not know where she was born or who her parents were, but did know remd 1764 - Marie Catharina Jeaky m2 Jacob Bachman after William Smither died In 1789 Catherine was living in Weissenberg Township which I believe is Lehigh Co which is next door to Northampton but it is also next door to Berks, Bucks, etc. I check census with no results. Jacob Bachman and Maria Catharina were married in 1764 and in that marriage record in the church books it states the late widow of Wilhelm Schmetter. Will of Jacob Bachman Sr of Weisenburg Twp dated 30 Apr 1787 Proved 17 Oct 1789 "I gave and bequeath(ed) in and by a certain article of agreement before I was intermarried with my dearly beloved wife Catharine widow and relic of William Shmetter late of Albany Twp Berks Co PA deceased the sum of 30 pounds and money for a cow" which Caharine had alreadh & was to have no more of the estate.
