    3. Hello Beth, The reference book I mentioned I got through Amazon and it was an expensive one. But it is the Bible of these types of homes. Reg Niles published it in 1981. I have searched a long time for it and came acrossed it one day and bought it right away. It was very hard to come by. I am writing a book on The Children's Home I came from and then became interested in helping others find their records. This book includes the US and Canada. Where in Virigina was the orphanage? Their were Catholic run Orphanages called The Good Shepard Homes.
