Hi Virginia, The place to start a search on this is to check The County's Children and Youth Service. I was placed in a Children's Home in June of 1957, my birthmother had died shortly afterwards. 47 years later I found the home and my records weren't in the building so I went to The Fayette County Children and Youth Service. As long as you have some ID they can serch your record. I had to have my drivers ID and my Adopted Birth Certificate. So there should be one in the area Christina was in. Janet, I don't know where to begin finding records for the home. As it turned out, Christina fell in love with Albert Spath at the Orphanage and they ran away and got married. Years ago I wrote to a diocese(I think) and they gave me some information on him but I no longer remember how I found it. If they were in Allegheny Co., would there have been a St. Joseph Orphanage or other institution run by Nuns? Just a long shot.
