I have members of the Houses of Burgesses in my family in Somerset, PA. Can anyone tell me if there were only two House of Burgesses, one in Virginia and one in Maryland? I can find nothing to indicate that Pennsylvania had its own House. Would they have been representatives to the Maryland House? I cannot find anything online to make this more clear.
