John L. Templin, 55, Blandon, died July 4 at 12:30 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since June 28. He was the husband of Violet E. (Schlottman) Templin. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Russell W. Templin and Rachael (Deeds) Templin Wamsher. He was a self-employed subcontractor with Door To Door Home Inspections, Fleetwood, last working June 27. He previously was employed for many years as a supervisor for Allura Corp., Exeter Township, until 2002. Templin attended Daniel Boone High School and was an avid hunter and wildlife enthusiast. He was a member of Blandon Fire Company. Templin also is survived by three sons: John L. and Justin A., both of Fleetwood, and Joshua J., at home; and two daughters, Melissa A. Barr, Sinking Spring, and Jessica L. Burkholder, Reading. Other survivors include a brother, Russell "Bup" Templin, Mohrsville; and three sisters: Anna Mae Reider, Gibraltar; Florence "Kitty" Tolland, Muhlenberg Township; and Shirley "Skeeter" Wakely, Delta, York County. There also are nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harvey "Yip" Templin and Albert "Cac" Templin. Services will be Saturday at 8 a.m. in Milkins Funeral Home Inc., 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9.
