Hi, David: The Harvy noted next on the census page seems to be the right age for his child, Harvey. As far as the Susan shown, maybe the census taker noted the name incorrectly or maybe it's a 2nd marriage or maybe a sister or maybe a housekeeper that they assumed was his wife... Have you looked for descendent info on Gov. Bradford? Maybe tracking from the other end of the trail will help you to make the connection...maybe. Good luck with your search! Debra, We're beginning to stray a bit off the topic of this list here now, but the questions you raise are similar to what I keep running into in trying to trace this line. In many way, it raises more questions than it answers, but I do not give up easily. As for the Bradford line, yes I am currently working on an ongoing project of tracing it out "from the other end" as well. Oddly enough, with the John Bradford in question being in my mother's ancestry, tracing the line from Gov. Bradford forward has disclosed no less than for confirmed connections with my FATHER's line, although not direct ancestors to me. I also have a copy of the Society of Mayflower Descendants "Silver Book" for the Bradford line, which contains confirmed and documented lineage, but it only goes for five generations, which is another reason I want to find John's parents. The Silver Book stops what I believe to be one generation too soon, so I cannot connect anything with any certainty. Anyway, we really are straying here, but I thank you for your help. I will go through your information in detail and see what I can find, and I do thank you for your help and suggestions. Somehow, someday I will find it. .hopefully. David E.
