HI, I have a snag with the Gaskin Gasgoyne Line that settled early in Northumberland Co. Thomas Gaskins, Jr, Lt, Capt, born 1749 in Northumberland Co, and died 10 Feb 1813 married an Elizabeth McClennehan. Her last name could be spelled several ways. She was b abt 1758 and d.? but both are buried in Point Twp, Northumberland, PA. I am yet looking for Thomas's father and looking for proof of a Thomas Gaskins abt 1723- 2 Jul 1790 buried in Washington Twp, Dauphin Co. That is a northern Twp near Northumberland border. So anything about Gaskins of that time would help. And especially the McClennehan and her parents. It is possible she iimmigrated or her parents from Ireland. I have worked through the Gaskins of Northumberland VA and there are gaps / blanks that leave room for Thomas Gaskins 1723 to be a son, but no one in those lines claim any Thomas moving north. Another line of Gaskins that may be connected living in Schuylkill near Northumberland border is Samuel B 1809 d 18 Sep 1863, Looking for his father so a Gaskin about 1775 in Donaldson< Frailey Twp Schuylkill Co, would be helpful. Thanks for any help. Connie Sholes Swarts Oberholser and Wenger Tree -rootsweb.com
