    3. Yes we have proof they all died in the county but we can't find where they came from. Not on immigration or boat lists and I checked out NE States and VA. I find a plethora of Gaskins in that main line that came very early into VA and there are some gaps as I mentioned earlier. But those who stayed there tell us there is no way our Thomas came from their lineage. Since Northumberland Co PA was named very early and as the Gaskins arrived, I do wonder if they named it after Northumberland Eng. and VA. Of course I have no proof and could be named by many other English who first settled there. So often this is the case. I see some similarities in the two lines of PA and VA as their zest for clearing the country and military leadership being very strongas well as some name usage. Also who they related to and married.like the name Hull. Any Male McClennahan McClennaghan alludes me and seems some were in W PA that early and could have come east. Also a Gaskins out there migrating from VA area but no linkage yet. Connie .
