Yes--unfortunately there were just too many unsubs all at one time for most list admins to contact those who had bounced off lists. It is always a good course of action, if you think you are not getting mail from lists you subscribe to (the mail suddenly stops arriving) to check that list's archives to be sure you are missing mail and then to check MyAccount at RootsWeb (the sign in link at the top right of any RootsWeb page) or PasswordCentral (passwords tab at the top of any RootsWeb page) to be certain you are still subbed to all of your lists--if not either resub or contact the list admin to see if you bounced off. If the problem continues after you resub--then it is time to check with your ISP to see if they are blocking the list mail as spam--which was the case here.
